Add a booking type and override dates
To open for a particular date only, follow the steps below:
Click Settings.
Click Sites, then select the site.
Click Booking Types, then Add Booking Type.
Enter the name of the booking type or event, for example, Mother's day lunch.
Scroll to Override Dates.
Leave the Availability section blank.
Only set one override rule for each date; if you set multiple override dates, only the first applies.
Click Add Another, then enter the date of the event.
If the event's for one day, enter the same date in the Date From and Date To fields.
🤓Tip: You can copy rules from another booking type by clicking Copy, then selecting the rule you want to copy to the current type.
⚠️Warning: If the booking type override date falls outside the range defined by the general override date and time, the override will not be applied. The system checks whether the booking type override is within the boundaries of the general override period. If it’s before or after that range, it’s considered invalid and will not function as expected.
Override opening hours
If your venue isn't usually open on the day you're overriding the booking type for, you need to override the opening hours as well. To do this, follow the steps below:
Click Settings.
Click Sites, then select the site.
Click Opening Times, then Override dates.
Fill out the details accordingly.
Click Save.
