Enhanced Auto-Confirmation Buffer Logic
We've improved how auto-confirmation buffers work across different booking types to ensure smooth transitions between bookings and optimal table turnover.
How to Enable
To activate this feature, navigate to your venue settings in Collins and select Buffer Settings from the menu. You'll find a new option labelled "Apply buffer to all booking types" - simply tick this checkbox and save your changes to enable the enhanced buffer logic across your venue.
What's Changed
Cross-booking type buffer application - Auto-confirmation buffers now apply intelligently between different booking types
Previous booking priority - The system now correctly applies the buffer time from the previous booking type, not the current one
Consistent behaviour - Buffers work uniformly across all booking channels including Collins Call EVO, Collins Widget, and API bookings
Example in Practice
When a Drinks booking (2-minute buffer) follows a Dinner booking (10-minute buffer), the system correctly applies the 10-minute buffer from the Dinner booking, ensuring adequate time for table turnover.
Access Evo Feed Integration (Collins Evo Only)
We've continued to make improvements to how Collins integrates with Access Evo Feeds, streamlining enquiry management and notification handling.
Note: This feature is available exclusively for Collins Evo customers.
Take Enquiry Ownership from Feed (Collins Evo Only)
Venue teams can now take ownership of new enquiries directly from their Access Evo Feed, eliminating the need to navigate to separate dashboards.

One-click ownership - Take button appears on new enquiry feed items
Instant status updates - Enquiry automatically moves to "In Progress" when taken
Real-time synchronisation - All team members' feeds update instantly when an enquiry is assigned
Duplicate prevention - Once taken, the enquiry cannot be accidentally claimed by another team member
Collins User Mention Notifications (Collins Evo Only)
We've introduced two distinct ways to manage Collins user mention notifications within your Access Evo Feed:
Automatic Status Synchronisation
When a Collins user mention notification is actioned in Collins (for example, when the mentioned task is completed), the corresponding feed item in Access Evo automatically updates to reflect this change.
Feed items mirror the real-time status of Collins user mention notifications
No manual refresh required - changes appear instantly
Maintains correlation between Collins notifications and feed items
Reduces duplicate work across systems
Clear User Mention Notifications Manually
For Collins user mention notifications specifically, you can now mark these feed items as "Done" directly within Access Evo Feed to remove them from your active view.

Clear these notifications independently of their status in Collins

Availability
The enhanced auto-confirmation buffer logic is available to all Collins customers - simply enable it in your Buffer Settings as described above.
The Access Evo Feed integration features are available exclusively for Collins Evo customers.
To enable Access Evo Feed notifications, users need to configure their preferences: navigate to your user settings and enable the relevant feed notifications you wish to receive.
Once enabled, the new features described above will be automatically available with no additional configuration required.
