The search engine contains real-time table availability information at over 4,000 bars, restaurants, pubs, and clubs UK-wide, meaning up to 3.9 million users a month can grab a seat in their favorite spot quicker than ever before.
Setup criteria
Before customers can start booking your tables through the DesignMyNight search engine, you have to be a DesignMyNight Booking partner and have a public DesignMyNight page.
If you're unsure if you fit the criteria, reach out to us, and we can look into this for you.
Maximise bookings through DesignMyNight’s table search engine
To maximise your bookings through DesignMyNight's new table search engine, set up and maximise your booking types for the search engine.
To do this, please follow the steps below:
Click Settings, then click Sites and select a site.
Click Booking Types.
Click Sort booking type priorities.
Drag and drop the required booking types to the Active Booking Types column.
Active booking types are used anywhere the booking type is inferred in Access Collins.
You can re-order the priorities by dragging and dropping them into order.
For more information, please see the set priorities section of this article.
Click Update Priorities.
Set priorities
DesignMyNight’s search engine uses the same priority rules you've set up in Access Collins.
Customers don't see Access Collins' booking types when they book through the DesignMyNight search engine.
Instead, Access Collins automatically allocates the booking to the appropriate booking type based on the customer's time, date, and party size selection, together with the booking type priorities you've set in Access Collins.
The order comes into effect if your booking types have crossover times. For example, if your breakfast booking type is available from 8:00 – 12:00 and your lunch booking type is set up to be available from 11:30 – 17:00, you could move lunch above breakfast in the order, as you have a higher value associated with lunch bookings.
This means any bookings between 11:30 - 12:00 automatically book as a lunch booking.
We suggest you prioritise the booking types that your customers would associate with your venue.
