Common reasons why bookings are closed
Below are the most common reasons that your booking may be closed.
Restrict advance bookings or latest advance bookings
If the message on your widget says Only bookable up to [date], this is an indication that you have a restrict advance bookings rule set up.
Within your booking types, you can set up how many days in advance a customer can book using Restrict Advance Bookings. For example, if you've set this to one day, customers can only make a booking for today.
Using the Latest Advance bookings, you can set the number of days that you want bookings and enquiries to close. For example, if you can’t take bookings and enquiries for a Cocktail Masterclass or a Private Hire without seven days notice, this restriction prevents customers from making enquiries the day before.
Booking type availability
Check to make sure that you've set the day you're looking at as Can Book. If the availability section looks correct, check the override dates to see if there are any settings that could close the date.
Opening times
Check that your opening times are correct. Have you set up any override dates that may be closing off the date?
Unavailable dates
To check the closed dates, follow the steps below:
Click Settings, then click Sites and select a site.
Click Unavailable dates.
Under Close Bookings, check each section to see if you have any dates closed here.
To remove a closed date, click the red cross.
Click Save.
