If a customer's booking was auto-confirmed, they have the option to edit their booking through a link in the confirmation or reminder email they receive.
They can change the number of guests and the time of their booking to another time slot that matches the auto-confirm rules, if there is one available.
Restrict by group size
You can restrict which bookings can be changed in this way by group size.
Click Settings, Sites, then select the site.
Click Booking Types, then select the relevant booking type.
Scroll to the bottom of the booking type settings to find Customer Booking Changes.
Enter the Max group size for customer changes.
Click Save.
Restrict by payments or authentications
You can also decide whether to allow changes where payments or authentications have been taken:
Click Settings, Sites, then select the site.
Click Booking Types, then select the relevant booking type.
Scroll to the bottom of the booking type settings to find Customer Booking Changes.
If you want to allow changes to bookings with payments and authentications, there is a tick box to enable this.
Click Save.
🤓Tip: Another way to control what can or can't be amended by the customer is the Customer Payments rules.
If a guest originally booked under rules that didn’t require a deposit, like a group of one to four, but now wants to change to a group of six, which does require a deposit, Access Collins will block the change and prompt them to contact the venue directly.
