To authenticate the customer's card at the point of booking, or if your automatic deposits for customer payments aren't working as expected, please ensure you've set up the feature correctly:

Set up the auto-confirm rules

To set up the auto-confirm rules follow the steps below:

  1. Click Settings, then click Sites and select a site.

  2. Click Booking types and select a booking type.

  3. Under Auto-confirm Rules, select when to activate auto-confirm.

  4. Click Save.

Ensure you've set up all applicable tables

To ensure you've set up all applicable tables follow the steps:

  1. Click Settings, then click Sites and select a site.

  2. Click Booking types and select a booking type.

  3. Under Areas for this booking type, click Edit Areas.

  4. Select the required tables, then click Save.

Fill in the deposit details

To fill in the deposit details follow the steps:

  1. Click Settings, then click Sites and select a site.

  2. Click Booking types and select a booking type.

  3. Under Customer Payments, click Add A Deposit.

    • The Customer Payments section is for auto-confirm bookings only.

  4. Fill out each field with appropriate details then click Save.

    • If you leave the Date or Time fields blank, it defaults to the rules you set in the booking type availability.

  5. To add more authentication rules, click Add A Deposit again.

    • When adding another payment option, make sure the parameters don'tt overlap with the previous set of rules.

📌Note: Ensure the parameters for the number of guests correlate with the number of guests in the auto-confirm rules section. Groups larger than your auto-confirm max have enquiries automatically created, and you need to send an authentication request manually.
