Set up automatic confirmation texts for confirmed bookings

Get a confirmation text when their booking is confirmed.

📌Note: This option is only available if you have Booking Texts enabled. To enable these, contact your account manager.

To set up automatic confirmation texts for when customers confirm a booking and when they make an automatically confirmed booking through the booking widget, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Settings, then click Sites and select a site.

  2. Click Booking Types and select a booking type.

    • You need to set this up per booking type.

  3. Under Emails, select Automatic confirmation texts.

  4. Add a message to the Confirmation SMS Message free-text box.

    • The default message is: Thanks, your booking has been confirmed.

    • The maximum character allowance is 160.

    • To include personalised booking details, use the following fields:

      • {{first_name}}

      • {{last_name}}

      • {{full_name}}

      • {{email}}

      • {{company}}

      • {{num_people}}

      • {{date}}

      • {{time}}

      • {{until}}

      • {{booking_ref}}

  5. Click Save.

📌Note: You can only send texts to valid customer mobile phone numbers.
