What is auto double confirm?
You can set up auto double confirm to text your customers on the day of their booking, asking them to reconfirm their reservation.
When they confirm, this information is automatically sent back to the system. You can determine which bookings the texts are sent to.
The texts are automatically sent to the booking contact the day before the booking.
📌Note: This option is only available if you have Booking Texts enabled. To enable these, please contact your account manager. We have a number of packages available to suit your SMS usage.
Set up
To set the parameters for which bookings the texts are sent to, follow the steps below:
Click Settings, then click Sites and select your site.
Click Auto Double Confirm.
Fill in the details:
Contact number: Based on your booking rules, customers who can't cancel or amend their booking can see your contact number in the text they receive.
Booking Types: To determine whether texts are sent to all booking types or a select few, click Custom.
Number of guests: The group sizes you want texts to be sent.
Auto Confirmed:
Any: Sends texts to all booking types.
Auto Confirmed: Sends to those made on your booking form or website and automatically confirmed.
Bookings with a deposit: Select if you want to include or exclude bookings with a deposit.
Click SAVE.
View double-confirmed bookings
You can see double-confirmed bookings in the Bookings List in the diary; they have a tick icon. Double confirmed bookings also display with a tick in the run sheets.
You can filter the diary for double-confirmed bookings by following the steps below:
Click Diary, then click Filter.
In Booking Attributes, select either:
Double Confirmed.
Not Double Confirmed.
Click Apply.
Manually set a booking as double confirmed
You can manually mark a booking as double confirmed by following the steps below:
Click Diary, then click Filter.
In Booking Attributes, select Not Double Confirmed.
Select a booking.
To confirm the booking manually, select Double Confirmed.
Click Save.
What the customer sees
Around 12 pm the day before the customer's bookings, they get an automatic text from you asking them to confirm their booking.
📌Note: If they made the booking within 12 hours of the booking time, they don't get a confirmation text.
They can:
Reply YES: To double confirm.
Reply NO: To cancel, this removed the booking from your bookings list.
If you don't allow cancellations, your phone number is here.
Make changes: They can click the link in the text to make changes to their booking.
If you don't allow customer changes, your phone number is in place of the link.
